Growing the Food Sovereignty Revolution, Propaganda by Jeff Quattrone are propaganda posters Jeff did for his solo show at McArt à la Carte in Woodbury, NJ. They are an homage to the Victory Garden propaganda posters from WWI and WWII, and content wise they focus on food sovereignty, local New Jersey, heirloom varieties of food, and one about high fructose corn syrup. They will be part of Agriculture! Celebrate the Garden State with Art! at the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts, Millville, NJ. April 2018, and featured at MADE. Mobile Artisan Marketplace during the month of May 2018.
Except for High Fucktose Corn Syrup (HFCS), the work is 11"x 17", presented as 13"x19" digital prints, and are digital collages. HFCS is a deconstructed collage using black and white laser prints, Prismacolor pencils and heirloom corn seed. It's 20" x 30".
Here's an article I wrote about the show in Startup, a digital magazine about contemporary art and sociology.
